Nashville has grown so much in the last 20 years, a visitor who had not experienced it would not recognize the skyline and would find streets and traffic patterns different than he remembered. Had I not known where parking was, it would have made the trip longer. We came downtown for a concert and it helped to know that we were going to the Bridgestone and where we were going to park. Line forms and both times I bodied once in Sugust and then in February it had 40 to one hour wait. I suggest two levels down for edible version. Do not go to highest as it unbearable and no one I know can eat it. Order at the counter and grab a picnic style table. The best southern fried chicken in a down to earth place. The music's great though, and so is the people watching. Have fun, but don't be fooled into thinking that where you end up is anything more personal than that. But in fact these stars don't own these bars, but by and large they're owned and run by professional restaurant organizations who pay the star a royalty to use their name. The Ryman, Country Music Hall of Fame and various museums are nearby, and the Glen Campbell museum located on Broadway itself just opened last weekend.Įvery country singing star of the moment appears to have a club: Blake, Jason Aldean, Kid Rock, Luke Bryant and the like.
